LBS-Oriented Creation Method and Implementation for Telecommunication Value-Added Services

    Abstract:

    The location-based services is considered to be the next climax of the telecom value-added services after the SMS (short message system). This paper introduces a service flow describing language XPL (extended-calling process language) which mainly focuses on the value-added service in telecom field before. This paper presents a geography information service describing language GDL (geography description language) based on the prior work. XPL and GDL have the ability to describe LBS-oriented telecom services in coordination. Those languages have high level in abstractness, and they can be easily used and are fast at developing service. This paper also presents the supporting system of those languages. Due to the basis of SOA (services-oriented architecture), the supporting system suits the service creation under the condition of net merging.
