    Abstract:

    A segmentation method in which texture and gray variation information is integrated by means of function-linked neural network is proposed in this paper. Based on this method, a region-based region growing algorithm is designed and applied to medical image segmentation. The experimental results show that this method can produce good segmentation result when applied to certain images.
