In this paper, an example-based color scheme generating and authoring method is presented, and a color scheme system target to office applications is introduced. This system can automatically extract main colors from the input image or picture (say, a commercial logo or brand), and then automatically produce a group of harmonious colors. By employing intelligent optimization, the system can suggest a set of reasonable color themes. The experimental results show that this system can generate customized results to match the user’s personalized application.
