In this paper, a cluster-based location management scheme is introduced, which has fully considered the characteristic of mesh structure and then utilizes the similarity of signaling transmission path of cells within a cluster to distribute the signaling based on the quasi-multicast fashion to improve location management efficiency within wireless mesh networks. The numerical result reveals that the proposed scheme has significantly lessened the signaling cost.
